The use of the term “Equipment” in Terms and Conditions for Globalstar Phone and Service Rental is
inclusive of the following items: (1) Globalstar Active Satellite Phone (1) battery, (1) AC charger,
(1) Pelican Waterproof Case. The satellite phones utilized for this agreement are the Qualcomm
GSP1600 and the Telit Sat 550. The use of the term “Customer” in Terms and Conditions for
Globalstar Phone and Service Rental refers to the individual filling out and signing this agreement.
Terms and Conditions for Globalstar Phone and Service Rental
Equipment is issued to the Customer in excellent condition and expected to be returned in same condition.
Additional charges will apply if equipment is damaged or destroyed.
Performance issues related to marginal satellite / equipment performance will not constitute grounds for
refund – it is Customers responsibility to verify area of use as a coverage area. The phone must have a
clear view of the sky, must be powered up, and must have the antenna extended to send or receive calls.
Unused portion of agreed upon rental period is not refundable. Each additional day after period of rental
is $10.00. Airtime is $1.25 per minute for outgoing and incoming calls. Additionally, Customer is
responsible for any extraneous airtime charges. Airtime charges are subject to change at anytime.
Rental period begins when the equipment departs the store and terminates when it is received back
to stock. Customer is responsible for shipping charges if applicable. There is a non-refundable $10.00
activation fee per line of service.
Amount of rental period will be charged when the application is processed. Minute use will be
charged when equipment is returned.
Deposit amount for equipment is $650.00 and will be charged at the beginning of the rental period.
This will be refunded in full or in part based on the condition of returned equipment. Unreturned
equipment will constitute no-refund. Equipment will be considered unreturned 10 days after rental
period conclusion, during this period daily and airtime charges will continue to be the responsibility
of the Customer. Once service has been discontinued Customer will receive notification of the final
amount that will be charged to the Customer’s on file credit card. Any unpaid balances will be turned
over to collections.
A copy of Customer’s valid photo ID is required for all transactions. This along with a copy of
Customer’s credit card will be kept on file. If Customer agrees to these terms and conditions, print
and sign this page. If applying on line fax a copy of valid photo ID, Credit Card, and Terms and
Conditions for Globalstar Phone and Service Rental with signature to 406-755-3791.
